Future of Free Higher Education: Update

Tuesday, September 18, 2018
A great step, I'm sure we will see more of the same in years to come from other Uni's

Ultimate goal of course being completely free!

A Few Of My Fave UTube Vids

Wednesday, August 29, 2018
If short UTube vids could have an Oscar category I'd put these two as winners, hard to describe the myriad things I love about these vids...I mean yes, they do look glorious on my 4K HDR OLED but that's only half of it, the other half is less tangible but enjoy!

Watch in as high as resolution as you can muster with the sound up!!!

<SORRY for some reason the link doesn't work when placed here so I had to find an alt...that seems to work!  Let me know if it doesn't!>

PS Unrelated but a rare smart ruling in the US by a higher court

The Future of Food Growing : Meat in a Lab

Wednesday, August 8, 2018
Just read the latest on a topic I’ve been following for a while now, lab grown meat. Seems they’ve gotten close enough in terms of how appetizing it is (that’s the hard part, to make it super healthy is easier - also I want to highlight that it is cleaner/safer and of course not cruel like our current process!) to maybe have this area explode soon.

This company Memphis Meats seems to be at the forefront but clearly would be the first of many and create a huge subsector (biotech I guess). I’m sure you know Steak (just made some great Beef Tenderloin on the weekend!) currently has the most negative impact on the environment, and of course is costly in many other ways.

Just some food for thought haha pun intended ;-)

Teksavvy promotion - I'm switching to 150/15

Sunday, June 24, 2018
I'll sadly be letting go of my Motorola Surbboard, best modem ever...I'll be passing it onto my Mom as she moves to Whitby in a month. Signing her up for the 30/5 plan and the SB6141 is compatible with that plan.

I did some research on the 10 or so choices Teksavvy allows for the 150/15 plan...turns out most have the dreaded Puma 6 chipset which causes latency issues, jitters etc.

Luckly the only 1 that uses Broadcom not Intel's Puma chipset seems to be a good modem so the choice is clear! Now I just need to find one not out of stock as I'm not the only one that figured this out!

Thank you new PC Govt...NOT!

One of the top reasons I never vote PC...their overwhelming lack of concern for the environment.

So I wasn't shocked to see this as one of their first commands

2 very different but equally interesting things...
